After power outage DVR stop working online

Customer service request-

1. I had power outage I can’t see my DVR footage on my phone or remote PC.

Answer- This happens when the internal IP address of the DVR changes like it was 192.168.1.46 and now it has changed to 192.168.1.47 for example.

It can be fixed simply be putting the old IP address back in the DVR network setup menu.

Now it is quite possible you might not know what was the old IP address was. Here are few examples what you can do to find that out.

First what kind modem/router you have and from which ISP (internet service provider).

AT&T–192.168.1.254  user name- admin password- device access code on the modem

Uverse-192.168.1.254  user name- admin password- device access code on the modem

Comcast 10.1.10.1  user – cusadmin  password- highspeed

Xfinity-10.0.0.1 user- admin password- admin or password-password

Verizon 192.168.1.1-  user- admin password- admin or password-password

By typing the gateway like 192.168.1.254 and putting the correct user and password you can access the modem/router.

Under firewall setting you might see some custom port fording done like you might 192.168.1.46 for DVR or security camera etc. If you DVR says ip address is 192.168.1.47  but in the modem/router it says 192.168.1.46.

You need to match the ip address of the DVR to the modem/router

Once you done, uncheck the box on the DVR where it says ” Obtain IP address automatically ” or ‘ DHCP on or off”
