Admin account is locked in Dahua HD-CVI DVR
Q: Account is lock or Fail to log in
We understand that some of you guy’s DVRs have locked accounts and are unable to log in with an error code “Account is Locked”. We know this is a constant issue with some customers forgetting their Passwords or the account is just not going through for some reason. The purpose of this feature is protect the user from any unwanted users getting into your system, so this is a feature that is mandatory for all DVR users.
When the Dvr is turn on for the first time a password has to be created for the “admin” account, if doesn’t gets created within a few logins the account will locked. That that’s the very first step. If you are already locked follow the next step
1. Reboot the DVR
2. Go into your DVR directly under the 88888 account. The password should be 888888 (this is the default).
Main menu > settings > system >
Account > on your right hand side click on the pencil
This should solved it. If not follow the next final step;
3. Go to Main Manu>Setting>System
